Knight Hack Southern AAR [lines]

Another column of 2 Askari and a Turkomen (along with 4 foot units) headed toward the end of the ridge (running northeasterly) where the Crusaders had placed the other 2 wagons as an obstacle. It was a swift and vicious attack against this part of the line, causing a Pilgrim unit to dissolve and another to route.

To the north, the largest grouping of cavalry units (5) and foot (6) moved steadily to the Crusader line. It was against this force that the Crusaders launched an ambush (from the wooded area), which triggered a large melee into which no less than 3 Muslim cavalry units and a similar number of foot units fought with a like number of Crusader units. While the Muslims were beaten back, the losses to the Crusaders were high.

In the end, with the sun going down, the Muslim Emir decided to break off the action and retire, leaving the field to the Crusaders.
