Creating Roman Camp Tents - page 2 of 3

Here I have created PDF's for you inorder to creating your own tents. You can print them any size. These tents should be very uniform in size.

You can download the PDF Squad Tent. Each cohort would be broken down into squads of 8 to 10 men each and each squad would have its own tent measuring about 10 feet by 10 feet. Naturally you do not want to make 60 tents for each cohort. You might want to create and use as many tents as you thing right in proportion to the camp's size.

You can also download the JPG shown here by opening it in a new window and then printing or saving.

By folding the tents as marked youwill not even require glue. Cut them out along the out side lines. These are intended to be printed on preprinted paper which you can find at most craft shops like Michaels.

A word about the tabs. I have found that by making the folds you can fold the tabs on the bottm of the tent inside. When folded correctly I have found that no glue is required. You might also want to cut a tent opening in the front. and then fold it back on some but not others. This gives a very individual look to each tent.

One the tent is printed, cutout and assembled all you have to do is to dry brush a dusty color on the printed side. This gives the appearance of weathering.
