Classical Hack Q & A - page 2 of 3

6)On page 14 you say “No unit may move closer than one inch of his opponent´s units” OK. But is there a minimum distance between friends units?

There is no required distance to be kept between friendly units. I would recommend that friendly units side by side should keep a narrow distance apart for the sake of not getting things confused: units fight melees individually and take 2 rolls against the enemy. So use something to tell the enemy and yourself where one unit starts and another ends.

7)If I understood right, non tribal moral class A and B units can stop a pursuit move in post melee phase if they find a new enemy unit. Non tribal moral class C units must make a moral test to stop a pursuit move if they find a new enemy unit.

This means that a pursuer with no enemy in its reach finishes its initial pursuit move. The stop is after the initial pursuit move is done. C non tribal must test to stop pursuing which means it will not rally and move toward the nearest enemy unit it can see.

If the C unit stood to receive it must test not to pursue after winning melee.

7a) Also, moral test to stop a pursuit only is made in the post melee phase in Classical Hack. So I understand when a non tribal unit (whatever morale class) charge, and his enemy evades him through or by others friendly units, the first unit who charged cannot stop his charge movement (normal movement plus a 6 dice roll) to avoid to hit the secondary enemy unit except if the secondary enemy is heaviest or if the unit who charged decides pursue his original enemy who evaded him. Is this correct?

Yes.

8)Unit A charge to unit B who gives a evade response. But at the same moment, unit C who is at unit A rear, declare charge to unit A. Unit A moves a normal movement plus a 6 dice roll as unit B who evades. But how much moves unit C? Unit C moves his normal movement because unit A is not evading? Or because unit A is moving his normal movement plus a 6 dice roll, unit C also could move his normal movement plus a 6 dice roll?

C charging the rear of A is allowed the D-6 addition because he is charging and his enemy is moving too makes no difference. I would recommend always quartering with multiple unit issues.

9)When a pursuer unit hits his router enemy unit at rear or hits a new enemy unit, these melees are fought in the next turn melee phase. But when a unit who charged hits another secondary enemy or hits his evading enemy unit at rear, these melees are fought in the melee phase of this same turn. I am wrong?

I prefer doing it in the same turn. Is this a got you question?

10)Unit A is a non tribal moral class C unit who could not stop his pursue move in the previous turn post melee phase (it fails his morale test to stop a pursuit). Now is pursuing in next turn top charge phase, charging an enemy unit who evades. Unit A is disordered because is pursuing and also it fought. If unit A receive now a front charge from an enemy unit C for example, must unit A make a morale test because is a nontribal disordered being charged?

No see page 22. Tests in this situation are waived. C is still from his point of view is still in pursuit.
