Caesar's Legions Shields

With the creation of my new legions I next had to consider an obvious thing the unit or legion's shield patterns and colors. I decided to use the shield decals that came with the boxed figures. These were red with yellow wings. So I made up my paired legions with identical shield patterns so I could exchange them from one order to another, without them looking completely different. Pretty dumb I suppose but we all have our own ideas and ideals. One of the problems with the decals is that they sometimes do not cover the shield properly. I painted the shield edges when this happened and it generally seems to work. It does take time but I think it's worth the extra trouble.
