In the scenario there were not just two combatants but three: the Romans faced off against the Picts and disgruntled Britains from the south or Roman side of the wall. A good game does not require a lot of units as much as a good and imaginative set up. Fortunately such assaults by the Picts were not always made by large forces. Usually these would be local tribes in the general area of attack.

Here the Picts make an assault on the Mile Castle. The Romans have made a sallie out of the gate to drive the enemy away.
