While I made no changes to the main castle as shown in photo one I did change the village. As I had promised I made an improved village rather than using the group of buildings as at Historicon 2007. Here are some of the feature I felt would be representative of a small Scotish village. There would be a surrounding wall, a central tower, circuit towers, gates and interior buildings. There is also a shallow ditch surrounding the village. The village and a force of Scots blocked the way of theEnglish advance. The photos show the desparate dbattle that raged beneath the village's walls.

In these photos you can see how the Scots made the English reduce their frontage and used the village defenses to slow the English attacks. In the first game the Scots had a unit rout back into the village and the English Knights managed to get into the village. They set fire to the village as the battle raged outside the village.
