Classical Hack Ancient Warfare

After Action Report Siege of Augusta 2007

by Philip J. Viverito

An Important Event

The Siege of Augusta is one of the most important and entertaining convention events held in the HMGS Mid-South. Like Southern Front you will meet some of the friendliest gamers in the hobby. Here you can meet the organizers like Dr. James Birdseye and Paul Elkin as well as southern authors including David Wood (Look Sarge No Charts) and Chris Pagano (PanzerTruppe)

Classical Hack and myself have always received a warm welcome and much support from our friends at Siege of Augusta since about 1994.

This year I put on a test run for The Siege of Carthage using Classical Hack Ancient Warfare 600 B.C. to 600 A.D., Second Edition. Lynne and I had a great time renewing friendships and finding out what's new in the south.

So here is what we did and saw in regard to Classical Hack Ancient Warfare. There were many other games going on but primarily we were there to Hack. Look Sarge was played as well as PanzerTruppe. Naturally there was a Warrior Tournament. Scott Holder would have been proud of the effort.

Here's what I put on.
