Fall In 2006 - page 2 of 6 ![]() Above is a photo of the afternoon group of players who participated in my Siege of Chepstow game at Fall In! 2006. I used army list 24 The English 1100 to 1300. As the action involved only England I used the same Q.R.S. for all. It was a rebellion of English Barons in England after all and this seemed logical to me. The game description is shown on the previous page. The scenario was pretty simple. Basically the game starts with the Baron of the castle riding out to deploy his men to meet in battle the rebellious Barons who threaten his castle. Coming onto the table were about 10 different groups of either relief forces or attacking enemy Barons. These were groups of horse and foot representing arriving Barons with their personal retinues. To determine if a group coming on was friendly to the castle or forces coming to rebel against the King's baron who holds the castle. Two players we assigned to represent the Baron and his junior leader coming out of the castle. The remaining players were assigned to the retinues coming on the table. To determine if the arriving retinues were friendly to the castle or not each player rolled a D-10. If the number rolled was even then the players were hostile to the castle and the King. If the number rolled was odd then the arriving retinues were friendly to the castle and the King. This created a situation where units coming on near to each other were enemies and had to deal with the nearest threat to them. I will add photos over the next few days to illustrate some of the actions that transpired. The photos will be from both the morning and afternoon games. All were playing by turn three without much help at all. |
