Cold Wars 2007Carthage After Action Reportby Philip J. Viverito Cold Wars Cold Wars was cold indeed. When Lynne and I arrived the weather was in the 50's and the day before it was in the 80's. The Friday the show began the temperature had dropped and there was a sleet storm. This sleet storm was worse than most Bufalo winters where we get lake effect storms with snow. Snow is easier to drive in than sleet. By Saturday things had greatly improved with sunny skies but still low temperatures. This probably had some effect on attendence. However, my Carthage games had no shortage of players except for Saturday morning where only two players showed up. With early play times this is not unusual. I got to play so that was great.
Above is a picture of the pool area from our room's back door. Ahh for the heat of July! Follow the radio buttons below to see some of the many Carthage pictures we took of Carthage and the games. I was delighted to be guest of honor. I was even more delighted when I received an award for Best Theme Game. It was a great time and Lynne is still helping me get through door ways and keeping from hitting the ceilings in joy. It is amaszing how light headed you can become when being so gratified.
