Cold Wars 2007 - page 7 of 9 The Views AreHere are more views. First is a view of the seaward defenses, a pair of towers with curtain wall. Then the Roman ramp or mole. This feature was built of stones. In the real siege the Romans began building a casuae way or ramp that would eventually get so close to the harbor mouth that the city could not safely use the harbor. Today a modern highway runs from the Lake of Tunis to the modern city. This highway has the ramp for part of its foundation.
Below are some of the assault or battle photos. On the left is the general assault by the Romans. On the right Richard helps out running a section of the battle in the last game. Here the Roman players pushed the Carthaginians back into the city and took the berm and palidade.
