Classical Hack Ancient Warfare

Fall In! 2007 - page 5 of 5

In these photos you can see the basic set up from the Gaul's side. Then there is the Roman set-up and that of the Gauls.

The Gauls are difficult to handle compared to the more disciplined Romans. The game ended in something of a draw. Lots of blood was shed in miniature anyway. The Gauls routed a number of cohorts but the Richard's second line plugged the holes. The auxilia Roman cavalry had great difficulty in holding back the rush by Eric's Gallic cavalry. Steve was able to hold the line in the end as Frank cleverly placed loose order Romans in a wood on the Roman right (top of second image). This really slowed the Gallic advance.

Phil had a great time rolling poorly as usual. He insists he would have prevailed in the center if things had continued.

We look forward to seeing some of Christin's photos and will post them when we get them.
