Other Hack Events

Two other events at Historicon included the efforts of Joe Shwartz and Richard Wareing. Joe put on his King of the Mountain game he could not do at Cold Wars 2008 due to a power outage at the hotel! He did this game about three times. I like the way he has modified the game system to fit his interpretations. The basic idea was to have the Romans gain a hill. The game was well attended and it appeared to me that everyone was having a great time.

Below are two views of one of the many Wars of Portugal events that Richard game mastered. This was a fourteenth century battle fought in Portugal. The first which I apparently missed filed the photos focused on Christians and Moors several centuries earlier in one of his other Knight Hack games. Richard used Knight Hack for both these games. His theme of Wars of Portugal took players from the Classical Period to Modern Times though Portugese history. The concept was brilliant!
