Few Periods have fostered so much interest in history as the Old Testament times. For hundreds of years scholars have been studying and speculating on this period of mankind's development. The Bible preserves the very core of mankind's beginning. The research on this period inspires a very heated yet somehow reverent approach to man's past. The Old Testament is a greatest epic account of man's earliest days and merits continued interest to this very day. We should remember that the Old Testament is wider just military issues and events. The system is not for tournament play, consequently gamers seeking rules written in stone will be disappointed. If you love Old Testament Times you will appreciate the system for what is does. Unlike other game systems, players are encouraged to change the system to suit their own historical and literary interpretations. Use the system as written or create your own Divine Intervention results or Optional Leader ratings. The rules are literary and historical interpretations revealed through game mechanics. It is taken for granted that while these interpretations and resulting mechanics may not be absolutely correct, they are indeed formulated from the events detailed by Old Testament and current historical theories on Biblical Warfare. It can prove a great tool for Church and Synagogue groups to further interest young people in Old Testament Times. Religious organizations are encouraged to ask for more details.

Contained in this book are a table or contents and an index which assist the player in finding various topics. Throughout the book are easy to use unit generators, diagrams, a unique gaming approach to using chariots and examples. Once familiar with the turn sequence, methodologies of shooting, melee and morale most players will require only the Quick Reference Sheet to play the game. I have found that when players gain a general understanding of the system they require little assistance after turn three.

As the author of this set of rules I cannot help but express that these rules are very different. They are not for readers who are not prepared to use their own research and knowledge. These are for the thinking historical gamer. IF you are looking for fast play. These are. IF you are looking for something that requires no thinking and historical interpretation then these are not for you. The back cover clearly states that the rules are designed to be changed. These rules have generated many comments both good and bad. Buyer beware. Buyer be ready to think and then play.
