My Sea People Army - page 4 of 5
[unit]

Smaller units can be effective. First you can place them easily in ambush. Second they can be used in pairs and thus they are able to double team enemy units. As Sea People did not seem to have long range missile units these can inexpensively skirmish enemy units. Finally they are idea for reserve and baggage or camp guard units.

[tactics2]
Sea People are illustrated as having used carts. For baggage and booty. Like later German armies of the Classical Period they used wagons as a rear defense. Perhaps the Sea People found the swift and overpowering Egyptian army would suddenly be on them unlike any of their other enemies. Consequently the baggage train suddenly became part of an unexpected battle area. I love these clunky carts. For my army I treat them not like baggage wagons but rather War Carts. However I do not permit them to charge as they were completely defensive from what we think we know about them. Because I am treating them like war carts I permit them to melee as 5 figures rather than the normal 2 figures for baggage wagons. The 5 figures can use both sword and javelin.

The Sea People Carts should be placed to the rear of the army; in this case with the armies tents. I use one for each command of the army. IF I could get more of these I would would have up to 2 per command. Here I have one cart for each command. Place them in a line. The army can attempt to rally behind these if need be.
