On an open field between the towns of Poitiers and Tours the veteran army of Spain's Muslim governor Abd ar Rachman al-Ghafidi faced the grim and battle-hardened men of the regnum Francorum, led by Charles, Mayor of the Palace. At stake was the rich shrine of St. Martin of Tours, the holiest (and perhaps wealthiest) place in all of Francia, and perhaps even the fate of the West itself. Players age 13 and up are welcome. Rules taught.
